At Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Dur, the curriculum is structured as following for year groups 7-9:

• Language, Literacy and Communication (Welsh, English and Modern Foreign Languages)
• Mathematics and Numeracy
• Science
• STEM
• Health and Wellbeing
• Humanities
• Expressive Arts

Time is also allocated on the timetable for ‘Amser Aur’ where learners are encouraged to take advantage of new experiences, pursue different interests and learn new skills. This is a termly timetable where pupils are permitted to choose their own curricular path on a Friday afternoon. Some of the clubs that have been very successful are: Self Defence, Dance, Creativity, Kindness, Surfing, Meditation, School Magazine, School of Rock. We look forward to our learners experiencing the new clubs on offer this year (all aligned with the Curriculum for Wales) and to ensuring that their voices are heard in the activities provided.
